The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - Review
An adventure of heroism and cunningness, playing as whoever you choose to travel through the enormous world of Skyrim. The whispers of Skyrim being released in stores was heard throughout every gamer and their keen eye on the adventurous world that was about to embark on them. Now, it is finally here.
With an insane amount of content and storylines to complete, Skyrim will easily have you glued to the screen for ridiculous hours as you battle monster and foe. But first, to begin your journey, you must create a character. With a diverse range of races to pick from, and the huge range of customizations of their appearance at your disposal, you will definitely love creating toons after toons trying out different things. Once your adventurer is created, you embark on an epic quest, to slay dragons and become a hero in the eyes of common folk. So many things have been improved on and introduced, so let’s take the time to go over some. The combat has been improved from the previous Elder Scrolls and introduces a much more fluent and enjoyable experience for players alike. There are also mounts, so you can travel to your locations at fast speeds. A new leveling system has made its debut as well, with new developed abilities that have been improved on from Oblivion.
With a game like Skyrim there is an abundance of things to do and locations to explore. There are a ridiculous amount of caves and areas with treasures to find, and a diverse range of monsters and enemies to fight in order to obtain these riches. Puzzles come up from time to time in order to open certain gateways or locations and require a keen detective eye in order to prevail. Whether you’re a brutal warrior or a cunning mage with spells that will light your enemies aflame, you will always have a satisfying experience and will be hooked to complete the next quest or to explore further lands. Professions gives you a kind of “job” to do, allowing you to make money and create magnificent things on your travels. Also, Skyrim has introduced player housing, which gives you the ability to purchase a house with a faction that is friendly with you. You can deck out your cool new home by purchasing decorations and furniture from your landlord as well. It was really fantastic how well and enjoyable the new housing system was, instead of having to sleep in random people’s beds or taverns, you can give your character a nice relaxing rest they truly deserve. Beautiful, simply the most realistic view for this games graphics, from snowy peaks to dense forests, Skyrim delivers an insane amount of quality and quantity in the environments detail. There will be times where you are distracted just looking up into a wide mountain range, then pinching yourself making sure you’re still conscious. With such insane textures and flawless visuals, shades, textures, Skyrim truly takes the cake for some of the best graphics in gaming history. The soundtrack is memorable and the voice acting does a solid effort in creating realism and satisfaction in every gamer.
So honestly, why are you sitting here reading my review? You should be out in the world of Skyrim, slaying colossal beasts and basking in tremendous glory. Skyrim, a must buy for any gamer out there. |
